Take a copy of everything
Every tournament, every account and every photo. If this server is ever lost, this file is the site: put the database back in the data folder, the photos beside it, and start it again. Keep a copy somewhere that is not this server.

Bring in data from the old site
Take a backup from the old console (Danger → Download backup) and load it here. Use a backup taken after match day, or it will arrive with no results in it. This always creates a new tournament — it never merges into an existing one.
New tournament
Only the name is needed. Date and venue can stay empty until they are decided — once you publish it, the site shows it as coming soon.
All tournaments
Each tournament keeps its code for ever. Its admin can rename it, so look for the code.
New account
An admin or referee account belongs to one tournament and cannot see any other. For a second tournament, make a second account.

Players
Match players to the roster
Say which roster person each player in is. That puts their photo on the scoreboard and adds their goals and saves to their record. The suggestions are only suggestions — check the face.
Teams
A team is the people who share the controller. Give them a name, put them in a group if you are running groups, and pick them from the roster so their photos and records come with them.
Teams & captains
Players
Pick people from the roster to put them in the auction pool — they come with their photo and record. Or type a name below for someone new. Guests are free and outside every squad limit; a captain is added with their team.

Tournament details
You can rename the tournament. Its code never changes.
Venue & dates
Leave anything not yet decided empty — the site shows it as “to be announced”.

Download a copy of this tournament
This tournament as JSON — teams, players, fixtures, results and the match log. Worth doing after the auction and again before kick-off. It is only this tournament; the whole-site backup lives under Site.
Medals
Leave a medal on “computed” to give it to the top of the table, or name the winner the referee declared.
Who can see this tournament
Hidden means only its staff can see it. Published puts it on the public site — as “coming soon” until it starts. Finished locks it and adds it to the Hall of Fame.
Finish the tournament
Marks it finished and writes its entry into the Hall of Fame. Recompute after correcting a result.
